Myrle Harlan Duncan

LaNell and I were grade school friends in Denton...then we met again in college where both of us were in Education. In 1956 we were among the horde of teachers hired by AISD.We were fortunate to live in Russell Austins new duplex. The four of novices at being out on our own, quickly made friends with many of the repairmen in Andrews. And of course , a few single men noticed the pretty newcomers. Two years after we moved in as single teachers, all of us were finding new residences with those lucky and handsome young men. What wonderful memories I have of Johnnie and LaNell! They were always upbeat and were the life of the party. Soon we all began with our children and I and my family moved up to Denver City.Through all those years we have kept in contact. I have a heavy heart because of losing this life long friend, but I know what a wonderful Christian she was and she now has a wonderful heavenly home where she is awaiting for us to join her.
