Condolence: I do not remember a time in my life that I did not know John. He was always a gentle, quiet, giant of a man. When John spoke, he gave us wisdom, warmth, and friendship. He and my dad were among the 1940's oil field folks that decided to make Andrews their home. RIP dear man and give my dad a pat on the back from us. Your kind we will seldom be seeing again.

Condolence: Whenever I would start to leave after visiting with John, I would say, "I love you, Mr. P"-- He never said much, just hugged me goodbye. This is what I told him Thursday afternoon as we left the hospital. He said to me that day, "I know you do."
I mentioned to Andy that evening what he had said, and how unusual it was that he answered---I'm so glad he knew I loved him. He will be missed so much by our family.
So proud to have been part of his world. Loved him.
