Dominga “Minga” Salcido, 72, of Andrews passed away on Thursday, December 1, 2016 in Andrews.
Family and friends will gather to celebrate her life at 10:00 AM Monday, December 5, 2016 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 201 NE Avenue K, in Andrews with Rev. Joseph Ogbonna, officiating. Interment will follow in the Andrews North Cemetery. Rosary services will be recited at 7:00 PM on Sunday at McNett Funeral Home Chapel. Dominga was born on March 5, 1944 in El Mulato, Mexico to Abram Valenzuela and Zeferina Ortiz Valenzuela. She was raised in El Mulato and married Filomeno Salcido in December 1961 in El Mulato. They moved to Andrews in 1974, where she worked for Kirby West Vacuum Plant for 31 years. She loved to go shopping, and have all her family around to take care of them and cook for them. She was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Andrews. She was preceded in death by her parents, son, Hignacio Salcido, 2 sisters, and 3 brothers.
She is survived by her husband, Filomeno Salcido of Andrews, 6 daughters, Elvira Salcido, Amalia Robles and husband, Sergio, Ana Rodriguez and husband, Pablo, Cruz Salcido, Brenda Ortiz, and Frances Valenzuela, all of them from Andrews, 20 grandchildren, 38 great grandchildren, and 3 great great grandchildren.
