Sarah Willey
Sarah Willey, 82, of Andrews passed away on Sunday, March 4, 2018 in Andrews.

Family and friends will gather to celebrate her life at 10:00 AM Thursday, March 8, 2018 at McNett Funeral Home Chapel in Andrews with Ministers Lynn Money and Leslie L. Boone officiating. Interment will follow in the Andrews West Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 6 – 8 PM at the funeral home. Please celebrate her life by visiting www.mcnettfuneralhome.com.

Sarah was born on November 22, 1935 in Breckenridge, Texas to Herbert William Forbess and Lorene Davis Forbess. She moved to Andrews in 1947, where she attended Andrews High School. She married Robert Lee Willey on September 1, 1950 in Carlsbad, New Mexico. She had worked as a sales clerk for B. Williams and Sons Dry Goods in Andrews for 25 years. They had lived in Andrews from 1950-1987 and since 2012. They had lived in Big Spring from 1987 – 1998 and Midland from 1998 – 2012. She enjoyed shopping, jewelry, home interior decorating, looking though magazines, embroidering tea towels for family and friends, and cooking her spaghetti, sweet potato pie, and hot rolls for her family. She loved Halloween, where she would dress up along with her grandchildren. They were members of the Star Thru Square Dancing Club in Andrews, where they traveled and met many lifelong friends. She will be remembered for being friendly, classy, and an elegant dresser. She was a member of the Andrews Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her parents, son, Danny Willey, sister, Charsey Forbess, and 2 brothers, Robert and E.W. Forbess.

Sarah is survived by her husband, R.L. “Bob” Willey of Andrews, son, Randy Willey and wife, Debbie of Windsor, Colorado, daughter in law, Vivian Willey of Odessa, sister in law, Margaret Willey of Andrews, 5 grandchildren, Kory Willey and wife, Chana, of Odessa and Kyle Willey and wife, Tiffany, of Weatherford, Audrey Whitley and husband, Sam, of Midland, Stacy Zukerman and husband, Jason, of Waco, and Amy Harris and husband, Josh, of Franktown, Colorado, and 10 great grandchildren. Donnell and Bonnie Hitch have been longtime friends for over 70 years since grade school, and have shared in their lives, their children, and going on vacations, and by lifelong friends, Allen and Jean Humphreys.

Memorials may be sent to the Andrews Church of Christ or any Hospice group of your choice.
