Georgia Alice Carruth, 79, of Andrews passed away on Wednesday, December 13, 2017 in Andrews.
Family and friends will gather to celebrate her life at 10:00 AM Monday, December 18, 2017 at Grace Baptist Church with Rev. Jeff Chapman officiating. Interment will follow in the Andrews Old Cemetery under the personal care of McNett Funeral Home. The family will receive friends on Sunday December 17, 2017 from 6-8 PM at McNett Funeral Home. Georgia was born on October 6, 1938 in Grangeville, Idaho to George William and Twila Alice Smith Paul. She married Freddie B. Carruth on May 26, 1956 in Dawson County, Texas. Georgia loved to sing, go camping and being with her family. She enjoyed raising her kids and her career of child care for other people’s kids. Georgia was a strong supporter of the Andrews Mustangs sports programs. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Freddie, a brother and one grandchild.
Georgia is survived by three sons, Mike Carruth of Maybank, Texas, David Carruth and Jimmy Carruth all of Andrews, Texas; one brother Phillip Paul of Dawson County, Texas and eight grandchildren, elevens great grandchildren.
