Obituary for Bertha Rondan

Bertha M. Rondan, 70, of Andrews passed away Sunday, November 5, 2017 in Odessa.

Family and friends will gather to celebrate her life at a funeral mass 10:00 AM Wednesday, November 8, 2017 at the Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church with Father Joseph Ogbonna officiating. Interment will follow at the Andrews North Cemetery under the personal care of McNett Funeral Home in Andrews. A Rosary service will be held Tuesday, November 7, 2017 at McNett Funeral Home Chapel. Bertha was born on March 10, 1947 in Anahuac, Mexico to Gilberto and Maria Martinez. She met her husband, Jesus Rondan, in Mexico and the two were married on November 11, 1962 in Villa Union, Mexico. They moved the family to Andrews in 1969 and continue to reside there. She and Jesus raised 7 children so she always enjoyed cooking for her large family. A few of her favorite things were cooking, family gatherings, and garage sales. Bertha had a very loving and giving heart and was always there to help whoever needed it. Bertha and Jesus were members of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Andrews. She is preceded in death by her parents, and 2 sisters; Raquel Lara and Dora Martinez.

She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Jesus, her 7 children; Juan Rondan and wife Trang of Andrews, Jesus Rondan and wife Maria of Andrews, Jorge Rondan and wife Jane of Yuma, Arizona, Ana Montoya and husband Ruben of Andrews, Sulema Contreras and husband Manuel of Andrews, Daniel Rondan and wife Misty of Andrews, and Ramiro Rondan of Amarillo, 2 brothers; Natalio Martinez of Andrews and Gilbert Martinez of San Angelo, 2 sisters; Maria Hernandez of Andrews and Margarita Meza of Del Rio, 18 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
