Kimberly “Kim” Yancy, 61, of Andrews passed away on Friday, September 1, 2017 in Andrews.
Family and friends will gather to celebrate her life at a memorial service at 4:00 PM Wednesday, September 13, 2017 at McNett Funeral Chapel with Pastor Barri Evans of The Orchard Church in Midland, officiating. Private inurnment services will be in the Andrews North Cemetery. Cremation arrangements are under the personal care of McNett Funeral Home. Kim was born on May 30, 1956 in Andrews to Robert Calvin “Bud” Yancy and Anita Terry Yancy. She was raised in Andrews and graduated from Andrews High School in 1974. She graduated from Commercial College with a degree in Accounting. She had worked in medical billing and coding for Dr. Ruben and Sylvia Cala. She enjoyed playing bunco with her friends, crocheting, collecting pig knickknacks, loved Elvis Presley, and the New York Yankees. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her family and grandchildren. She had been a member of McKinney Acres Baptist Church, where she was baptized. She was a member of The Orchard Church in Midland and enjoyed her bible study group. She was preceded in death by her parents and her granddog, Patsy.
She is survived by her 2 daughters, Natalie Yancy and wife, Jocelyn Wyatt-Yancy, of Andrews and Nicole Yancy-Flores and husband, Romi Flores, of Andrews, 1 sister, Jody Oxley of Andrews, 2 grandchildren, Rebecca Yancy of Andrews and Damien Flores of Odessa, sisters in love, Barbara McCormack, Cheryl Bownds, Rosie Haught and Patti Mitchell, and a great granddog, Bella.
