Wanda Joyce Carlisle Weatherby, 73, of Andrews passed away Friday, August 18, 2017 in Odessa.
Family and friends will gather to celebrate her life at 10:00 AM Saturday, August 19, 2017, graveside at Andrews West Cemetery with Rev. Brant O’Connor officiating. Wanda Joyce Carlisle Weatherby was born May 14, 1944 in Arch, New Mexico to Jonas Edgar and Earl Johnson Carlisle. She married James Robert “Bob” Weatherby on June 30, 1964 in Andrews, Texas.
She attended school in Denver City, Texas and graduated from Cosmetology School becoming the youngest cosmetologist in the state.
Wanda enjoyed traveling, fishing, deep sea fishing, horse races, and entertaining her friends with her delicious cooking. She was fun loving, caring, and known for her great recipes. Wanda loved music and going to Ray Price Concerts.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bob, her parents, Jonas and Earl Carlisle, and brother-in-law, Woody Weatherby.
Survivors are a brother-in-law, Joe K. Weatherby and wife, Carolyn of Andrews, sister-in-law, Betty Weatherby of Wichita Falls, Texas, nephews, Dr. Joe “Randy” Weatherby and wife, Janet of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Rodney Weatherby and wife, Andrea of Cornith, Texas, Mark Weatherby and wife, Ginger of Wichita, Kansas, niece Janis Fleming and husband Chuck of Wichita Falls, Texas, great-nieces and nephews, Jeremy Weatherby and wife Becky of Rio Rancho, New Mexico, Amy Weatherby of Amherst, Massachusetts, David Fleming of Norman, Oklahoma, Michael Fleming and wife Whitney of Midwest City, Oklahoma, John Fleming and wife Danielle of Forney, Texas, Ryan Henson and husband Brandon of Corinth, Texas, Reagan Olenych and husband Krill of Aubrey, Texas; Two God Children Taryn Johnson and Rianna Phette.
