Mary Francis Emfinger, 81, of Andrews passed away on Thursday, July 13, 2017 in Odessa.
Family and friends will gather to celebrate her life at a graveside service at 10:00 AM Saturday, July 15, 2017 in the Andrews Old Cemetery with Rev. Les Hall officiating. Services are under the personal care of McNett Funeral Home. Visitation will be on Friday from 9 AM – 9 PM and the family will receive friends on Friday from 6 – 8 PM. Mary Francis was born on October 13, 1935 in Lamesa to Joe Edward Pounds and Dorothy Lee Adair Pounds. She was raised and attended school in Lamesa. She married Leslie Doyle Emfinger on February 20, 1955 in Lamesa, and they moved to Andrews in 1958. They fell in love with Andrews from the day that they moved to town and loved the people of Andrews. She supported her husband on the farm by taking care of the home and children. They were past members of the Andrews Mustangs Booster Club and the Andrews Chamber of Commerce. She was a past member of the Andrews Girl Scouts and the Andrews Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her husband on February 1, 2013 and her parents.
Mary Francis is survived by her children, Doyle Emfinger of Andrews and Carrie and Gary Loving of Odessa, 4 grandchildren, Kala and Matt Tate, Kelli and Chris Price, Hunter and Samantha Emfinger, and Sumer and Scott Hill, 6 great grandchildren, Rori Emfinger, Drake Hill, Brodie Les Tate, Dylan Tate, Sofia Emfinger, and Kohen Emfinger.
