Juanita P. Cornejo, 67, of Andrews passed away on Monday, April 3, 2017 in Andrews.
Family and friends will gather to celebrate Mass at 1:00 PM Friday, April 7, 2017 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church with Rev. Joseph Obgonna officiating. Interment will follow in the Andrews North Cemetery under the personal care of McNett Funeral Home. Rosary services will be recited at 7:00 PM Thursday at the funeral home. Juanita was born on March 28, 1950 in Sanderson to Clemente Pena and Trinidad Lopez. She was raised and attended school in Andrews, and lived in Andrews for most of her life. She married Richard Raymond Cornejo, Sr. on May 23, 1968 in Andrews. She was a homemaker and had worked for Permian General Hospital for 10 years in housekeeping. Most of all, she loved raising her children and grandchildren. She loved to shop, especially on QVC, and attended her granddaughter softball games. She was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, and sister, Petra Serrano.
Juanita is survived by her husband, Richard of Andrews, daughter, Micki Gutierrez of Andrews, son, Richard Cornejo and wife, Lori, of Odessa, and 3 beautiful granddaughters, Lauryn Cornejo of Odessa, Lia Cornejo of Odessa, and Bella Cornejo of Andrews.
