James Waylon "Jim"  Parker Sr.
James “Jim” Parker, Sr. 81, of Andrews passed away on Saturday, March 11, 2017 in Andrews.

Family and friends will gather to celebrate his life at 2:00 PM Wednesday, March 15, 2017 at McNett Funeral Home Chapel, 705 North Main Street, in Andrews with Pastor Josh Morris of First Assembly of God Church in Andrews, officiating. Jim was born on April 21, 1935 in Russellville, Arkansas to Horace Doudley Parker and Emma Ora Rainwater Parker. He was raised in Arkansas and moved to Andrews in 1954. He married Shelba Jean Taylor on August 29, 1958 in Andrews. He had worked all over the Permian Basin as a floor hand and roustabout for many years. He loved to bowl and had bowled locally and in tournaments. But most of all, he loved spending time with his family. He was a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Andrews. He was preceded in death by his parents, 3 brothers, and 2 sisters.

Jim is survived by his wife, Shelba Parker of Andrews, 2 sons, James W. Parker, Jr. of Andrews and Lance Parker and wife, Renee, of Andrews, 2 sisters, Maxine Ferguson of McGehee, Arkansas and Betty Davies of Rogers, Arkansas, 2 grandchildren, Bracston Parker and wife, Bobi, of Andrews and Masumi Pritchard and husband, Seth, of Andrews, and 2 great grandchildren, Maddux Foster and John Pritchard of Andrews.
