Doris June Hungerford Day, 87, of Levelland passed away on Wednesday 19, 2016 in Levelland.
Family and friends will gather to celebrate her life at 2:00 PM Monday, October 24, 2016 in McNett Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Brant O’Connor officiating. Interment will follow in the Andrews North Cemetery under the personal care of McNett Funeral Home. The family will receive friends on Sunday October 23rd from 3 to 5 PM at McNett Funeral Home. Doris was born on May 21, 1929 in Fisher County, Texas to Paul and Ethel Finley Hungerford. She married Horace Day on July 10, 1948 in Brownfield, Texas
They moved to Andrews in 1993. She loved to go fishing and enjoyed crafts. Doris was preceded in death by her husband Horace in 2008 a son Randy Day, a daughter Betty McBeth, granddaughter, Christy Hallum, her parents, four brothers, Charles, Joe, A.B. and Tommy Hungerford and one sister, Pauline Gentry.
She is survived by a grandson, Don and wife Kathy McBeth of Hobbs, NM 5 great grandchildren, Tye and wife Savanna McBeth, Wyatt McBeth, Kayelynn McBeth all of Hobbs, NM, Krislyn and husband Shawn Solis of Germany and Karlee Hallum of Seminole; six brothers, Jack Hungerford, Bert Hungerford, Paul Hungerford, Bob Hungerford, Howard Hungerford and Gene Hungerford, One sister Helen Moore, and three great great grandchildren.
