Helen Jones, 76, of Odessa passed away on Monday, October 10, 2016 in Odessa.
Family and friends will gather to celebrate her life at 11:00 AM Thursday, October 13, 2016 at Eisenhower Church of Christ, 807 East 21st Street, in Odessa with Allen Weakland, Mike Jones, Tyler Jones, Parker Henderson, and Steve Oualline officiating. Interment will follow in the Andrews West Cemetery under the personal care of McNett Funeral Home. Helen was born on August 7, 1940 in Florence, Alabama to Robert Lee Richardson and Esther Lee James Richardson. She was raised in Green Hill, Alabama and attended Rogers High School. She married Charles David Jones, Sr. on July 8, 1961 in Memphis, Tennessee. They had served in the ministry in Alabama, Georgia, Tennessee, Mississippi, Pakistan, Canada, and Odessa. They moved to Odessa in 1976 from Canada, where Charles was a minister at Parkview Church of Christ for more than 25 years. She had attended Parkview Church of Christ and Eisenhower Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her parents, 3 sisters, and 3 brothers.
Helen is survived by her husband, Charles Jones of Odessa, daughter, Becky Jones of Odessa, 2 sons, David Jones and wife, Karen, of Wichita Falls and Mike Jones and wife, Priscilla, of Phoenix, AZ, 1 brother, Dorris Richardson of Green Hill, AL, 3 grandchildren, Malindi Phillips and husband, Jared, of Scottsdale, AZ, Tyler Jones of Jonesboro, AR, Abby Jones of Wichita Falls, and 1 great grandson, Parker Lee Phillips of Scottsdale, AZ.
