Kenneth Dale Cummins, 75 of Andrews passed away on Saturday, September 17, 2016 in Midland, Texas.
Family and friends will gather to celebrate his life at 10:00 AM Thursday, September 22, 2016 at Graveside in the Andrews North Cemetery with Rev. Brant O’Connor, pastor of First Baptist Church officiating. Services are under the personal care of McNett Funeral Home. Kenneth was born on August 29, 1941 in Electra, Texas to Willis J. and Mary Blanche Ashley Cummins. Kenneth came to Andrews with his family in 1954; he graduated from AHS in 1959. Kenneth attended Lamar University, while at Lamar he was drafted into the U.S. Marines. He served for 4 years with the Marines; 1 year of his service was in Vietnam. His duty while in the Marines was to keep the camera equipment serviced and loaded with film for fighter aircraft. Cameras, photography and developing film became his hobby after his tour in the service. He worked as a Technician for Amoco from 1968 until retirement in 1995. Kenneth loved taking care of and driving his Ford pick-up trucks. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Kenneth is survived by 2 brothers, Joe and wife Jean Cummins of Midland; James H. and wife Janet Cummins of Austin; 1 sister, Sue and husband Ed Elam of Chattanooga, TN. and 6 nephews and 1 niece.
